<p>Hey guys! I'm doing EDII at Vassar and really hoping even though my stats aren't the best..it's really my dream school so I though you could give me my odds?</p>

<p>I have academic recommendations from my 2 junior year AP teachers (my history teacher being a Vassar alum) and a character recommendation from my freshman social studies teacher after doing an internship with her last year. My essay is centered around my love of history and the time I've spent in my grandma's antique shop, etc. I know I'm not stellar but I have a lot of life experience coming from a low-income family and a difficult home situation. Do I have a shot?</p>

<p>Do not know if you will get in…but I think they would be lucky to have you. Show your passion, get an interview and you never know. EDII certainly will help and make sure they know how much you love the school, I think that goes a long way in the process!! GOOD LUCK!</p>

<p>I’m also working on a video for my Your Space - it’s sort of a short film about me and how much I want to go to Vassar, it has clips of me swing dancing, acting, naming all the presidents in order, etc. all in my Vassar gear. I’m wondering if this will help them see my passions/me as a person or if I should go with something more academic like another essay or a graded paper or something of the like?</p>

<p>Yeah that’s awesome! They will see how well-rounded an enthusiastic you are about the school! I think you have an excellent chance in getting in! Just get those SATs a little higher and you should be fine! Good luck!</p>
