Hey Guys! I just submitted my ED II app and I couldn’t find a thread so I thought I’d start one! Good luck to everyone who applied ED II!
I applied as well!
I’m applying! good luck guys
I applied ED II as well!! I really freaking hope I get in…I was denied from my original ED and idk why they didn’t defer me but I’m not even mad abt it bc now I get a chance to go to Vassar!! People keep telling me they think I would be a better fit for Vassar than my original ED and after I submitted my first ED I kept having doubts abt it so I’m actually kind of relieved to have not been accepted!
@abellefol Same! Just about to submit my application ah
Can people who were admitted ED I or applied ED II post stats? Also, how different are the admissions rates for ED I/ED II/Regular?
I just applied EDII as well! Will post, er, stats (what if we just had our own trading cards that we mailed to colleges?) if I am admitted. Fingers crossed for all of us.
I sent in the app a few days ago but Im confused about first quarter grades. Do you still send them if you have your first semester grades sent in on common app?
Hey guys, I applied ED I and was admitted so I’ll try to list some quick stats:
ACT: 32 composite (no sat or satIIs)
GPA: no idea what an A- average would be converted to in terms of a GPA
ecs: no sports but MUN, editor of school paper, peer tutor etc
essay: meh
supps: I did the Vassar view fly in so I had a lot to talk about here
Your space: prob hurt my app more than it helped tbh
I just listed the first things that popped into my head so if you have any specific questions shoot me a msg.
Best of luck to you all!!!

Sir Sly, congratulations! Did you apply EDI or EDII? Also, did you include a “Your Space” supplement? If so, what?
@muined I played EDI. And yes, I submitted a YourSpace. It was a writing portfolio (mine wasn’t that good imo, but I guess it doesn’t hurt!)
@SirSly Yay, congratulations! My D13 is a senior at Vassar majoring in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. She says the number of students in the program is getting smaller and smaller so I wish you will consider it as your major or minor!! Have a great time at Vassar!
D13 was accepted as EDII applicant. GPA 3.8, ACT 31. In Your Space, she wrote one paragraph about her love of jigsaw puzzles and included an optional photo of herself with a big completed puzzle.
@abellefol I was deferred from my ED I school too, but I feel like it was a blessing in disguise because I was also doubting if I had made the wrong decision choosing that school over Vassar. I really hope that I get into Vassar because I feel like I belong there more than anywhere. Best of luck to you!
Does anyone know when Vassar will post the decisions? I know the website says by February 1st, but I was wondering if they released decisions on a specific day or something like that.
@lavenderquartz For ED I, they sent an email one week prior to releasing decisions. I assume they’ll do the same for ED II.
@SirSly thank you!!
Has anyone received/heard anything about the notification date? The acknowledgement email said that we’ll be receiving the decisions in late January and will be notified of the date.
I have an answer. When I first signed up for my informational interview, admissions said that they would notify me if one could be arranged around a week before the decision. Seeing as I got the email twenty minutes ago, it is safe to say that we’ll hear back in, give or take, a week.
Has anyone else received the week-before notification email?
