Vassar Early Decision?

Hi everyone!

I’m considering applying early decision to Vassar. I had a planned tour in the Spring, but everything shut down due to Covid a week before that could happen. Now I’m in a bit of a predicament.

Almost everything I’ve heard about Vassar has been absolutely glowing, and I really do get a good vibe from everything I’ve heard about the school. Now, I know that this won’t make up for missing the real campus tour, or the real info session (I’ve done the tour and info session on their website, and I’m planning to do the student Q&A by the end of the week), but I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on me applying early decision.

I do believe that I have probably a 50% chance of getting in RD, and maybe a 60-70% chance ED. I have my stats in a post on this account, and I’ve recently completed several things that will definitely help me, including a half marathon and attaining a National Merit Semi-Finalist status.

So yeah, I’m hoping this will be a bit like a round table of everything (good and bad) about this school, because in the search for college, any information is welcome! Thanks!

Did you end up applying ED to Vassar? My daughter did, and we have fingers crossed. Good luck, wherever you decide to apply!
