Vassar fly-in?

So I know there's been a vassar fly-in program in the past, and I found one list of fly-ins that listed it with a deadline, but I can't find the application anywhere! Does anyone know how to find it/if it's happening this year? I think it was called vassarview or something in the past? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I haven’t seen any info about it on the website, you could email admissions for a more straightforward answer.

I sent an email to admissions yesterday, I’ll post when they respond to me :3

Any response from Vassar?

Vassar doesn’t have a weekend fly-in program. They do have a program that allows high school seniors to have an overnight visit Mondays through Thursdays.

Vassar does have a weekend fly-in program, called Vassar View. It’s in 2 weeks time, and if for URMs/1st Gens.

I stand corrected. That’s really disappointing to learn. Our D took a campus tour during spring break and never received any information about this program. It’s her first choice so I don’t think it matters to her but it would have been nice to have better communication.

The admissions office is a disappointment, but I don’t hold that against any college. They hire youngsters who only stay a year or two. You need to meet with specific departments to be impressed. My 12th grader visited five times …gets better every time!

@Burgermeister, I totally agree about the Admissions Office. They seem so totally disorganized esp. compared with peer institutions. But D loves the college and if she enrolled, she would never see the admissions people again, so I’m trying not to let it affect my impression of the college! Any particular departments stand out for you or your senior? (D is about to do a 2 night campus visit with time to go to classes etc.)

nynightowl – The director of the Undergraduate Research Summer Institute showed me employment opportunities in the science departments. We felt the athletic department was good as any D3 program we visited. Economics is the favored major among the male athletes we met; and this is a common choice elsewhere. The Women’s Crew members are a bunch of sweethearts (are old guys I allowed to use that word anymore?). Be sure to stay in the Alumnae House and walk to the restaurants. What a treat!

There is also a sons and daughters weekend for children of alum.
