Vassar RD 2025

I can’t help but feel that having such a late decision release date hurts these schools. I know my daughter has already heard from the vast majority of schools she is considering and has started attending accepted student sessions and getting excited about her options. I feel like Vassar will be an afterthought at this point once they finally get around to announcing.

Has anyone asked an AO when Vassar is coming out? Since their portal has changed I feel like it could be any day now…

I could not agree more. We still haven’t heard from a handful of schools but decided to go ahead and take a trip to the ones S has been admitted to. I don’t know if there will even be time to visit the others, and if that’s the case they will fall off the list. And, as you say, the students are already engaging with the schools where they’ve been admitted.

Any idea on when will the decisions be released.
Also, what was the % increase in apps this year, acceptance rate for ED [1and 2], and any speculations about the rate for RD ?

My son reached out to his AO last week regarding a question with his FAFSA, and then asked as a follow up if there has been an update for notification date…the AO never replied to that second email.

I don’t understand why schools continue to keep potential students in the dark about decision dates smh

I know it is frustrating to not know the decision release date and I remember the challenge of waiting for my kids’ decisions. However, Vassar usually releases decisions at the end of March, so this year really isn’t any different. Hopefully you will learn very soon!

It looks like (from looking at threads here) that decisions came out on March 26 both last year and the year before.

They’ve released on “Ivy Day” in the past. This year Ivy Day is 4/6, I believe.

It is definitely in my son’s top two choices so hoping it is still late March and not ivy day lol !

Has anyone tried calling admissions?

out of curiosity, did anyone apply for a non-custodial waiver? mine was never marked as approved, and they said it would be before admissions. now the checklist is gone so I can’t see, and I’m sort of freaking out that it means I was rejected. I know that’s likely not an indicator, but I was curious if anyone has had the same experience

I also applied for one and last I checked they didn’t mark as approved either. I’m assuming they just hadn’t gotten around to it or something because the waiver was approved for all my other schools

that makes sense! mine have all been approved except for Vassar and Dartmouth who both gave the same response when I checked to make sure that everything they needed has been received etc. thank you for calming my nerves a bit!!!

Come on Vassar - give us a date and time! We’ve now got dates and times for the other two remaining schools we have yet to hear from. Plus as has been mentioned, many prospective students are already attending info sessions for other schools!

is there any way it could be today?

Anything could happen. Most colleges send an email in advance, but Sarah Lawrence jump-scared me with their decisions so you never know. I would expect Vassar to release decisions very soon (I assume that Vassar’s alignment with Ivy Day last year was more coincidental than intentional, so I doubt that they will wait until April 6).
