Anything you have to say on the two..

It would be much easier for us (and more likely to generate meaningful responses) if you described something of yourself, your interests, your goals, your expectations, etc., so that instead of some sort of comprehensive Pros and Cons list that applies to no particular person, people can anchor their comments to who you are. It would be more useful to you and it wouldn’t be as daunting for would-be commenters to chime in.

Ehh. Thats a bit mainstream; I’d rather let people just release their thoughts on the page without any of my interfernce.

My son really liked both schools – he liked the general “vibes” at both and both had low core requirements (Brown, of course, has none). Obviously there is a difference in size. Probably Brown is more diverse – it also has a “everyone doing what they want” feeling; Vassar seems similar, but perhaps more artsy? There are more academic opportunites at Brown (in general and just because it’s that much bigger, I know and love liberal arts colleges, too!!). There may be more of a close feel with the dorm arrangement at Vassar for freshmen especially while at Brown you usually here of this mostly at Perkins. My son ultimately chose Brown, but feel free to PM me with any questions.

S1 was Brown '10 and loved, loved, loved it. S2 will be Vassar '15.

I can tell you already that Vassar’s advising program is miles ahead of Brown’s, if that is important to you. Size is an obvious difference, the residential college system at Vassar is another - both are awesome and allow you infinite freedom to learn about (only) what interests you.
