Vassar Waitlist

Do you know how long the wait list at Vassar is and what the chances of getting in are?

Check their Common Data Set, it has that data:

Thank you! Great info.

Hi :)

I was waitlisted at Vassar as well.

I’d like to know if any waitlisted candidates have heard from the college about their admission decision. When is it likely to come out?

Thanks!

just found out a moment ago via email that i was admitted. good luck to all!!

I just got in too. They only gave me until Monday. Was that the deal for you too?

Congrats to redsweatshirt and siriusly! Welcome to Vassar if you decide to attend!

yup, only until monday, but i answered the email yesterday morning :slight_smile: not much thought in it for me…

I haven’t heard anything yet…does it mean I’ve been rejected? (ignore->reject?)

^ lol, me too…

strugglingsat and farkula, I wasn’t contacted either, but my guidance counselor contacted an admissions rep a while ago and she sent an email saying that this was the first round and depending on how many take spots off the waitlist there will be multiple rounds. She said we may hear within the next week or two. So there’s still hope! I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

thanks for the info pigeons! the news is kind of comforting, but somehow deepen my anxious…OMG…I’ll keep my fingers crossed as well!!

I think I understand from previous posts that some of you received notice that you were accepted from Vassar’s waitlist on Friday and were to reply on Monday? Does anyone have any information about when the next round will be notified? Did any of you decide to go elsewhere? If so, why? Did any of you who were invited to Vassar from the waitlist receive financial aid? thanks! And best wishes to all of you!

The way I interpreted my decision is that no one got off the waitlist past those initial few, but who knows. It’s a bit of a shame for the kids that were holding out hope – mid June is much too late for a decision. I’d forgotten I was even on the list, and can’t imagine what it would be like waiting on pins and needles this long.
