Vastness of Course Catalog and Multiple Professors---Criteria?

Hi! I'm currently considering USC Trustee and UC Berkeley Regents, and one of the many things attracting me to UCB is the incredible array of classes at UCB. A friend of mine sent me this awesome interactive course catalog organized according to department, and it seems like there are typically multiple instructors to choose from as well. Should this be legitimate criteria in my comparison of the two colleges?
Thanks :)

There are more important criteria for comparison, such as intended major, the personal fit of a school for you, location, etc.
That said, UCB, like many other other large public universities, offers an extensive range of majors and broad and deep course offerings within those majors. That is an attractive feature for many students. Nonetheless, USC offers majors that are not found at UCB and greater breadth and depth in certain fields. It all depends on what interests you. But, remember, you can only take a limited number of courses out of the hundreds or thousands offered. For most fields, either of these universities will be able to offer the courses you need in the majors they offer. Multiple sections of a course are commonly found in lower division courses that many students take for gen ed requirements, or in core courses for large departments (i.e., those with a large number of majors, e.g., psychology or economics). For courses of those type, it’s good to have choices of instructors and times/days they’re offered, but it shouldn’t be a significant factor in comparing schools.

Both schools have on-line schedules of classes where you can see how many sections of each class are offered, and how large each one is.
