Vault Information: Goldman-Sachs, Lehman Brothers

Hey everyone, well since everyone seems to want to know what really goes on in big IBANKS, especially for recruiting, interviewing, and salary inquiries... I've pasted some of the users' comments from Vault on to my website. I paid for the membership (which doesn't seem like a great deal), and since you can't copyright their message board or personal statements, here it is:

Good luck on your ibank internships. I'm interviewing for some right now. One of which is BlackRock (I am a sophomore in college), which .. I am pretty sure, is going to be acquired by Morgan Stanley for $8 Billion.

Summer Analyst (Investment Management) - $45,000 p.a. (paid bi-weekly)
Investment Banking and Sales & Trading summer analysts are paid marginally more.
Technology and Operations summer analysts are paid marginally less.

^ as lil' jon would say: WHAAAAAT?!

Summer Analyst = Intern right?

thatbiggbadwolfy, make that MER :)

Yes, a Summer Analyst is an intern

Thanks for the info wolfy!

Hmm, I thought interns only got paid like $12,000. I'm confused now.

No, it's not actually 45,000 bi-weekly. That's the amount they would theoretically get for a full year (p.a. = per annum). They pay it proportionally to the number of weeks that the intern spends at the firm.

Thanks for the site!

I hope you don't get shut down.
