Hi, I am currently a student at Northern Virginia Community College. I used to go to University of Oregon where I got a 3.7 (straight A minuses) and 18 credits.

*First of all, do I need to be a resident to get guaranteed admission into UVA Wise?

*Secondly, are the required courses different for Wise than for the College of Arts and Sciences other than Foreign Language?

*Thirdly, what is the required GPA? https://www.vccs.edu/Portals/0/ContentAreas/AcademicServices/VCCS_UVA_Wise.pdf says it is 2.5, but that seems kind of low, and I know that UVA-CAS needs a 3.4.

If I think of anything else I will post it. Thanks for the help!

There are three different [VCCS articulation agreements](<a href=“http://www.vccs.edu/Students/TransferList/tabid/106/Default.aspx]VCCS ”>http://www.vccs.edu/Students/TransferList/tabid/106/Default.aspx ) that are UVA related:
University of Virginia - College of Arts & Sciences
University of Virginia - School of Engineering & Applied Sciences
University of Virginia’s College at Wise

Only the first two are for UVA, the medium sized university in Charlottesville.

[The College at Wise](<a href=“http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Virginia’s_College_at_Wise]The ”>University of Virginia's College at Wise - Wikipedia ) is a little over five hours away from Charlottesville. It is a smaller school with some different academic offerings.
