VCU-Drinking in dorms

Hey guys, someone i know was recently caught drinking in the dorms. It was his first offense, the police did come (but did not file any charges, let him off with a stern warning). Is he going to be kicked out of his dorm and have to find an apartment? he has a meeting with the residence dean in the next week or so. It did take housing awhile to contact him. Let me know what you guys think, hope to hear from knowledgeable VCU student and alumni. thanks.

“Someone you know” aka you perhaps?

There should be some sort of dorm handbook or whatnot that I’m sure you can consult for this. Or just ask your Resident Advisor.

Some dorms and campuses are stricter than other. I’ve gotten caught twice (different years) drinking in the dorms and was given a slap on the wrist each time. There’s other dorms on this campus where if you’re caught once your are expelled from the dorm (though presumably can still live in another one).

Talk to your RA.

Probably not.

Well I can’t speak directly about VCU but I can speak about drinking violations at most colleges and from what I have personally learned I wouldn’t be too worried about it.

I was written up for alcohol and just had to have a meeting and stay out of trouble for a while. That was all.

A friend of mine has been written up SIX times and he still manages to live in the second year on campus housing.

Alcohol is a toxin to the human organism so I never really understood the benefits of socially consuming it or any other depressants. Legal stimulants like caffeine and DMAA are much better for you. While everyone else is slurred and slow mentally, you are on top of your game ready to dispatch any rivals and spit game at that elusive young woman you have been eying.

If you and your competition are under 21, it is easy to reduce them to rubble if you can keep your hands clean. Find out who is supplying them alcohol, then get police or private eyes to catch them in the act. If the supplier is a bad-type, his people will go after your competition as retribution. Refer your competition to these “bad-types” for alcohol through several intermediaries.
