VCU Guaranteed Admissions 2022

Hello! I see there is not a thread yet for this topic…thought I would start. Please share any advice or comments on this program. I have been selected for an interview.

Come on

My d applied for the GAP for nursing but hasn’t heard anything yet re: interview or acceptance into the program. She got into the Honors College already back in Dec/Jan.

Hi dental diva I’m responding to your thread like you requested at the interview!

@Nikitafan2014 Yes!!!
Do we want to share our experience for those in the future to look back at?

Daughter just accepted into GAP for nursing today! She’s very excited! Anyone else hear today?

@dochoo Congratulations to your daughter!! That is AWESOME. I just recently had my interview for GAP Dentistry and should hear back early March. Fingers crossed! I will be going to VCU, so if your daughter is looking for a friend.

@dentaldiva that’s really sweet! My d is really excited to have been accepted but is still waiting to hear back from a few more schools and also regarding scholarship $ so not sure where she’ll end up yet. Good luck to you and sending positive thoughts your way!

Accepted! It was an amazing experience and VCU is an amazing school. I could not be more excited.

Congratulations dentaldiva!! That Is wonderful! Do you know how many they accepted into your program? Are you definitely going?

@dochoo At the moment, I know four were accepted for sure-not sure about a fifth, but it is possible. And thank you so much. I am for sure going! Although I applied to great undergraduate programs, no competition into dental school is a dream come true, and ultimately the best option for me long term.

I applied for the OT GAP and I still haven’t heard anything. Were you guys notified via email or snail mail? Congrats on being accepted!

My d was notified by e-mail of her acceptance the 2nd week of Feb. Good luck! Maybe give a call to the Honors College or e-mail them to get an idea of when you might hear?

Hi! I have an interview for GAP for medicine next week and I’m super nervous. Any tips? Any advice would be amazing!

@InAnHrSunflwr My best advice truly is be yourself! Do not worry about what anyone else around you has done, you are all going to be highly qualified (trust me), but your communication skills will set you apart. Really research what the school is about (ie their mission) and see how you align with them. If you have any shadowing experience, make sure you allow that to shine. If you need any further assistance feel free to DM me, and I can give you my personal info. This program is the best it comes, and am proud to represent VCU!

@happygrl I was notified by email. They notified us earlier than years past, so I’d imagine you will hear something soon. Best of Luck!

Good Evening dentaldiva! I am currently a rising senior in high school who is interested in applying to the VCU guaranteed admission dental program. Considering that you have gone through the entirety of the admissions process, would you be willing to answer a few questions I have? Mainly general questions pertaining to what the admissions office is looking for from an applicant. Thank you so much!
