So, I was accepted into both VCU, for biomedical engineering, and VT, for chemistry. BME was my major of choice, but I was only accepted for it at VCU. VCU also gave me a $5k scholarship per year, which is very helpful considering I am pre-med and will need all the money I can get to get though med school. Personally, I love the urban vibe of VCU and much prefer their atmosphere to VT, however VT is a much higher ranked school, although I have heard rave reviews of the bme program at VCU. What do you guys think is the best choice: go to a cheap and urban school for bme or go to a prestigious college in the middle of nowhere for chemistry?
