vcu program

anyone hear about interviews for the vcu program? i got this letter from the bme guy at vcu mentioning that i had "heard from the vcu guaranteed admissions to med school program...." and i have not heard ANYTHING from vcu about the prog. but i've learned that vcu sends things out of order, so i was wondering if anyone else has heard about interviews yet???

p.s. i did receive my acceptance to the honors program at vcu (oh golly!).

lol. I have not received anything yet. Probably because i sent it the day before it was due on next day mail. lol

Don't they all send out invitations at the same time to the 50 or so candidates?

My son also got a letter yesterday from BME professor about Biomedical engineering program for univ. honors students.

wait, for that letter, wat are u guys putting down for accepting or declining admission, b/c it gives us 3 weeks to decide, i don't want to be binded to the program...i sent it out at 5 pm fedex the day before it was due and fedex suposedly doesn't do po boxes, yet i got a response from the honors program, hopefully they got my guaranteed admission packet

My son did put acceptance on that form. I called VCU honors program office and asked them if this is a binding acceptance. They said 'No'. Can you please call Honors program and verify and please put your response to CC

i just called them up and they said the same thing, it is just that to be considered for the guaranteed admission u need to be in the university honors...thats the reasoning they were giving me....so anyways thats what i got

lol.........i did the same a few days back and heard the same! lol, wow, everyone's on top of the ball here.....good...

sorry, what does VCU stand for?

virginia commonwealth university

I got my VCU acceptance into the honors program yesterday, and i was wondering, what do you send back before 3 weeks? I dont want to accept the admission because i am not going to VCU unless i make it into the bs/md program, but i dont want to reject the acceptance, so what do i send back to them?

i have not received my letter from vcu honors and i live closer tahn any of uall... should i assume that they didnt get my application? it was online right?

yes, it was online........check online and affirm wat the deadline was (i forget)....i got mine like end of november yo.......you really should just call them up.

check for what? has everyone received their decisions? can i check status online?

check wat the deadline for the application was......the easiest thing would be just to call the office of admission for the honors prog

did anyone hear anything from vcu's med program yet??? i keep getting stuff for bme, and one letter mentioned that i had been sent information regarding the guaranteed admission program.....anyone?

i received an email from Dr. Anne Chandler, head of the guaranteed admission to med school prog at Virginia Commonwealth today....basically, it was a test email Dr. Chandler was sending to all the bs/md applicants to confirm that she had all of our email addresses..........

fyi, the email said that interview notifications for the prog would begin next week!!! good luck to everyone who applied!

could u post her email address? i didnt get the test email and i know they have my stuff since ive been admitted into vcu honors and the regular school already. thanks papucutta!

i suggest that u call her up instead--i got the impression that she doesn't want emails sent to her at that address (i have no clue why)....i know her number is printed on the right-hand side of the honors acceptance letter from Dr. Tim Hulsey. i would definately call her monday if i were you!

when do we hear about scholarships? according to the application u just write the essays right? thers no separate application. anyways, i got into vcu, but i didnt hear anything about scholarship result

please clarify when u say u got into vcu, lol ur givin me a heart-attack. i assume that we'll hear about scholarships all in good time....i'm def gonna ask about it during my interview (if i even get one)...
