They have a BFA in performance. Anyone have any info on this school?

It is in the city of Richmond, VA which has a nice small (but growing) theatre scene.

They offer BA, BFA, and MFA programs. Undergraduates audition/ portfolio review into the program. Student who wish to pursue the BFA must audition at the end of two years for admission into the BFA. Students who are not admitted to the BFA, or who choose to, complete the BA

From the website – [BA - Theatre - Theatre VCU](http://arts.vcu.edu/theatre/apply-now/programs/ba-theatre/)

“All incoming students audition and are admitted in Theatre Foundation specializing in one of the five concentrations (performance, stage design, costume design, lighting design, stage management). Students can choose to pursue a BA, or choose to audition/interview for the BFA after completing two years of coursework.”

My understanding is that all student in the performance area meet the same requirements the first two years, and the requirement diverge for BAs and BFAs in the second two.

I have seen shows there. They have been good. A Mix of Graduate and undergraduate students.

My daughter applied to VCU for Design and Technology. We visited and went through the interview process. She left extremely unimpressed. VCU quickly came off the list. There were a range of reasons. Most of it boiled down to not liking Richmond/campus, and the unfriendliness of the students/faculty and staff.
