VCU vs JHU for Pre-med?

I know this is a no brainer, but what are the pros and cons of each? I have been admitted into VCU's BME major, but not at JHU. I also feel that at JHU I will definitely have a lot more competition, causing me to need to work even harder to outshine others that are under the Pre-med advising track.

I know that VCU has a good pre-med program and Science department. I feel like I will be much more comfortable at VCU than at JHU because of the academic rigor. Does anyone have any pros/cons for each school that could help me make a decision? I have narrowed my list down to these two.

VCU has offered me some benefits that I was not able to receive at JHU. If I go to VCU I plan to apply to a pre-health acceleration program. I also plan to apply to the Honors College next year. All this can be done at JHU, but will be MUCH harder. I guess what I am trying to say is that I will be at the top of the GPAs at VCU which will give me plenty of opportunities, while I may not be at JHU.

I plan to work extremely hard at wherever I go; but if I go to VCU, I will make sure I stand out plenty so I can get into a great medical school... Hopefully JHU. I'd love to attend their medical school, but right now I'm not sure if their undergrad is what's right for me.

I am not turning down Hopkins for VCU because it would be easier, because I feel that a Biomedical Engineering program would be difficult. I spent two weeks at Hopkins this past summer for a program and i did not feel at home. I didn't like the area. Now, I loved VCU. I could definitely see myself there.

One more quick question. I am aware that a diploma from Johns Hopkins University will look so much better than one from Virginia Commonwealth University.

I want to know... If I do choose to go to VCU, is there still a really high chance for me to be admitted to a great Medical School like Hopkins if I apply myself?

What I was trying to say is that I am not denying JHU because of its difficulty because I am sure that a major in BME would be challenging anywhere!

can anybody help me make a decision?
