Hey guys! I’m a high school senior trying to decide between schools right now and was wondering if anyone had any opinions or suggestions. I’m hoping to study graphic design in college, but it’s also possible that I might change my mind over the course of my college career (atm, I’m sure it’s what I want to do, but ya never know!). Currently deciding between VCU (with instate tuition), Virginia Tech (OOS tuition, waiting to hear about aid), and possibly Texas A&M (instate tuition but mostly animation focused program). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Are you talking about the Visual Engineering program at A&M? I’ve heard it is FANTASTIC! If you have that with in-state tuition then you have a deal! Ds computer science teacher had some students of the program come in and speak and they all had either interned at Disney or Pixar or were about to intern there!
Yup! If I go to A&M it would be for Visualization. I think my main dilemma is that their focus is more on animation rather than graphic design. It’s definitely something I’m thinking about, but if I go I probably would not be studying graphic design so that’s another career path I’m thinking about.
vcu graphic design is one of the best in the country. Go for it.
