i was wondering what the vegan food selection is like on campus... i certainly wouldnt want to starve!!

I've been vegetarian the entire time I've been at Wesleyan, and I'm in the process of going vegan myself (or am at least experimenting). The main campus center cafeteria Usdan, which is open for all-you-care-to-eat lunch and dinners, has a vegan cafe station that always has at least a few hot entrees that are vegan. Personally I find it quite tasty and it's been a lot easier than I expected to transition veganwise :) Other eateries have some options, but are more limited - Summerfields has four entree choices every night along with sides, and one of the entrees is always vegan. WesWings, on the other hand, as the name might suggest... I'm not sure if it even has anything vegan. But if you don't want to eat at the cafeterias, you can also use your points from the meal plan at Weshop, which is kind of the campus convenience store. There are a ton of vegan options there, and also produce and ingredients if you want to cook for yourself.

So basically, being vegan at Wesleyan (while not as easy as being vegetarian or just whatever-eating) is a lot easier than at most schools, I think. :D Like I said, it's been a lot easier than I expected; I always feel like there are good options available.

ps. for the last couple of weeks the pizza station has been offering vegan pizza!
