Vegetarian?

^Vegetarianism = pro.
@Milan, I’ve never had a vegan pizza. One day I should. O_o

Vegan pizza…meh. I like cheese and chocolate too much to go entirely vegan.

How do you guys feel about “picking the pepperonis” off a pepperoni pizza? Do you guys do it? If you don’t, what do you say to them in that situation?

^I prefer not to. I used to do it until I felt guilty about myself.

Of course, that’s my personal opinion.

^^You still have all of that gross pepperoni tasting grease though. Which is meat, in a way, if that’s what you’re worried about, but mostly is just grody.

^^^ I don’t do that because there will still be that meat smell. I’d just get something else to eat.

Chocolate pizza tastes SO FREAKEN GOOD. you cannot even IMAGINE how good it tastes, and how well the melting of the chocolate goes with the chewy-ness of the bread.

I’m only vegetarian because my parents are pescetarian (sp?) and I grew up not even seeing meat as food. It just looks so icky… Then I realized that fish is just as icky so I stopped eating that too. I really don’t like that when I mention I’m vegetarian (which only happens when someone offers me meat) and I feel like I have to explain that I have no moral qualms with killing and eating animals. Lol :)

Damn, I missed this. I love being right, so I had to quote.
Well, I’m an Indian, but I’m a vegetarian for non-Indian reasons.

I recently (reeeally recently) decided to become a lacto-ovo-pesco-tarian diet. It will last at least for Lent, and I will then decide whether I plan to continue eating as a semi-vegetarian or simply adopt a typical omnivore diet once more.

For the record, I don’t think eating meat is inherently wrong. However, animals in slaughterhouses aren’t exactly killed humanely. Wouldn’t people be prosecuted for inflicting those same acts on a dog or a cat? It’s so skewed. If animals were simply gassed or even injected so that I could be reassured that they felt no pain, I would have no trouble eating meat.

I wish I had the will power to become a vegitarian…

I don’t even have the will power to give up ranch dressing…

Why would you give up ranch dressing? o.O

lent, one had to give up something that was important to them. a food item. technology. for 40 days

^ ooh, I gave up facebook!

But my little sister gave up meat. She’s been wanting to go vegetarian for a while, and then she did a research project on the inhumane treatment of animals in slaughterhouses and that pretty much pushed her to do it. She’s never been a huge meat-eater though.

I love meat so much I don’t think I could ever give it up, but I understand why she’s doing it.

^Isn’t it pretty weak to give up meat for Lent when one doesn’t like it in the first place? In the Christian view, Lent is a time of sacrifice, so that our suffering might remind us of Jesus’ 40 days in the desert, and to remind us that we are not self-sufficient and depend on God for the happiness those indulgences give us.

I’m a vegetarian for purely ethical reasons, but I wonder what adcoms think of the belief. It shows a lot of willpower and drive, IMO.

“willpower and drive”
Lol, how?

I used to eat meat all the time… then one night in October 2008 I realized how disgusting it is and arbitrarily decided to stop.

I think it’s funny that people want to put this on applications. People will put anything on applications.

“I’m a vegetarian, oh and I’m double jointed, oh and I’m on a lot of medicines for many imaginary disorders.”

this pretty much says it all

^ Was that really necessary?

Btw, humans aren’t carnivores. (General statement to people who say they are).
