Verification Help

I applied for FAFSA back in February using my mom's 2007 tax return because she hadn't filed for 2008 yet. I received an email from my college stating that I needed to verify my eligibility by sending in a bunch of forms including my parent's 2008 tax returns.

There is a huge difference between my mom's 2007 return and her 2008 return. My mom hasn't done her 2008 taxes yet, but she has an idea of the outcome. Do I still need to mail her 2008 returns when she gets them done, or do I mail the 2007 one that we used?

Do I need to redo FAFSA using her 2008 returns?

Yes you will have to correct FSFA using 2008 tax information. You will also have to mail the 2008 forms, as requested, for verification. The EFC for aid for 2009-2010 is based on 2008 income information, not 2007. No aid will be paid until you provide the accurate 2008 tax information and documentation.

Did her income go up or down?
