Verification Request?

<p>Has anyone gotten one to confirm their ECs, etc.?</p>

<p>I’m nervous about getting one, even though I told the truth on my applications. </p>

<p>If you get one, do they make you confirm every part of your application, and in what way?</p>

<p>A UCSB advisor told me that if you don’t get one by the end of January, then you should be safe, so hopefully nothing comes in the mail within the next 2 weeks.</p>

<p>my application was 100% legit but the letter said they randomly choose and i was chosen...</p>

<p>well you only have to verify one part of your application.</p>

<p>mine was summer school that i mentioned in my personal statement.</p>

<p>nothing to big, but it's a bit of a drag to get another transcript to send in.</p>

<p>lol, exactly, i was randomly selected too and will be mailing the packet tomorrow but i think that if we prove to the admission officers that we were telling the truth, wouldn't this give us a slight advantage? ...just my thoughts</p>

<p>anyway, i sent it in a while back already and i got a prompt response by mail saying that i was cleared.</p>

<p>if you didn't get one already, you're not getting one.</p>

<p>it was just a general request from the uc system in general.</p>

<p>i believe it was just for the application process, not for any particular school.</p>

<p>How did u guys receive the verification request? thru mail? email? </p>

<p>There were some things that may seem questionable on my applicastion (ex: working 30 hrs a week) </p>

<p>and I kinda want them to send me a verification request so I can prove that i'm legit. </p>

<p>they are due the 31st of january and you typically should get it first or second week of january.</p>

<p>if you didn't get it, you aren't.</p>

<p>I read on the UC website that the database randomly selects 1 student out of every 10 for verification?</p>

<p>yeah, it's somewhere around 10% since it'd be too hectic to ask everybody and if they did that, our admission notification would probably be around june, lol</p>
