<p>Are colleges able to verify the information you put on your application, such as the extra curricular activity, and what places you have worked before?</p>
<p>Some applications require you to write down the name of your supervisor/coach/etc as well as their phone number or e-mail. I know U of I's application required this...</p>
<p>Whether they require names and phone numbers or not, I'm sure they would have no problem checking up on your info if something seemed fishy...but I highly doubt they enjoy having to do that.</p>
