VERSION 1-CR Discussion- Proessor and Caribbean/Creole Passage test

I think it was to give an example of how society’s criticism affects

^ I got dramatic

And I also got respected because of his limitations.

@Laura

Many people assume nepotism means this, but it means this was the sentence.
I put common practical (something along the lines of that)

I don’t think they were the same question for outmoded and unthinkable.

what was the purpose of the last paragraph for professor passage (toast). To depict his another characteristic?

@1994
That’s what I said.

What would the innate language people think of the blank state concept?

Yea, it’s unthinkable 100%.

What does “many people” mean in nepotism passage?

The author was showing how its used in common practice.

Yea, it was to depict another characteristic.

@stark I think it was the other way around…
What do the blank slate people think of the innate people…

Dam, I loved the CR this time. I’ve read like 30 articles about Pluto’s demotion too since I’m a physics buff haha. The math professor passage was like the typical “archetype” of old professors.

its unthinkable for short passage about learning language cuz at the end of passage 1, it explicitly said that scientists could not even contemplate on that idea, which means could not even thought about it. thus, unthinkable is right.

@Startony
For “The author was showing how its used in common practice.” is there something about modern society in that answer choice?

Yea, you’re right Niquii, I just copy and pasted from a previous post.

Yeah it was blank state about innate. (Although for some reason I remember it both ways, as asking what they thought about each other, hmmm…)
Either way, still unthinkable.

but what is outmoded to then?

It was both ways:
-Wht do the blank slate people think of innate
Unthinkable
-What do the innate people think of blank slate
Outdated.

@Niquii
Yes, that’s it.

@ Prize
I said reassessment.

outmoded question was how would the author of passage 2 think of the idea presented in passage 1. out moded is the ans cuz passage 1 said “until recently they ardently embraced the idea” and passage 2 said recently there has been a new theory… so they wuold think passage 1’s idea is outdated.

i put social criticism for creole

@Prize
For me, she was implying how people shouldn’t criticize themselves so much, and take pride in their Carribean culture (and therefore reassess their negative views). (Although I’m not actually sure I put this one, I tend to change answers a lot, shrug)

I put social criticism as well.

For the Professor essay, did the Professor respect all those things because of his limitations or because stuff was undervalued?

Also, for the colonial era/indepence
which answer did you guys get?

something about insidious influence?
