Very Athleti

i am a very athletic person and i am really good at my main sport (softball) and i play outside of school and everything and varsity at school as well and i recently have been better at my 2nd sport(field hockey) this year nad will be a 2 year varsity...this being my first year.

my grades are ok-ish but most colleges take into account the school that i go to(i know this because my school is VERY rigorus, a top school, private, most go to ivies, etc)....

since softball is a school lacking at many of the schools i want to go, i was wondering how helpful would it be as to getting me into some of my dream schools(cornell, emory, columbia, princeton-big reach, berkley, stanford, etc)????

jhu gives alot of slack for people being recruited for atheletics, but you just have to contact each sport department there and get on their list =D gl!
edit: I think this applies for most privates except stanford which is just hardcore academics

Certain schools (like Berkeley and Stanford) would likely be more receptive to your athletic achievements than others, I would think.

Uhhhh, uhhhhh. I beg to differ, unless you can provide some data or link to back this up. In fact, I think Stanford is particularly receptive to sports seeing that it perennially wins the Director's Cup.
