I got accepted to one of the most competitive engineering schools.
My grades for the semester are going to be 3-B, 1-D, 1-W. How bad is it? Do I need to worry? Write a letter that will explain it? Ask for mercy?

Can you pull the D up to a C-range grade, or talk to someone who can change your recording for that class into P/F or whatever system your current school uses? The Bs are really not a problem because credit will transfer and Bs indicate an acceptable level of work.

I’m affraid that they are going to revoke my acceptance… I’ll go talk w/my dean in the next few days. Should I send the school a letter or wait to see if they’ll ask for any explanation?
Tomorrow I have the final for the class where I have the D, so I’m really hoping.

I am in the same boat.. Some issues happened during my final 1/3 of the semester and i got some bad grades as well (a D in a 1 credit course) the rest C+'s, which was a lot lower than my usual gpa (A’s and B’s). I don’t know what to do and I am afraid of what will happen.
