Very bad teacher. Problem.

I concur with Senator Noddles and Crazy200. That is how the grading system is in India. However, I would expect that living in America, the teacher would be more open to the American way of teaching and not stick to the Indian one ( which, has its advantages/benefits too )

Craze200
thanx.

Grades are coming out in a few days and I don't know what to do. :(

I don't think talking to her will help and my counselor probably won't be able to influence her. I will probably end up with a C or B, and A's in all my other classes. That will look weird.

Talk to the principal personally.

"No one intimidate me. I have no reason to be scare of no one." That's what she will say. :(

I tried to talk to her today but she just blew me off. She wasn't even listening. And almost everyone failed another test because she expects us to memorize the whole goddamn book.

haha ive never seen an indian teacher in america before

If your principal doesnt do anything about it, your grade will suffer so no point cribbing on this forum about what your teacher does. Honestly, you should have suck it up and memorize what was needed so as to try and bump your grade up..

Try memorizing Pi. It'll help your memory a bit. Or it could cause amnesia. The good thing is, we'll know.

And the ironic thing is that she teaches American government.

I bet even all you CC'ers couldn't even get an A in that class. That's how ridiculous it is.

get your whole class to complain to the principal. strength in numbers ftw

here's my advice; if you cant change the rules, then play the game.

If Indian kids our age can get above 90 in their classes, then CC'ers can sure as hell get the A if they worked hard..

But grades are subjective..

Not when you reproduce exactly what your teacher has made you write or what is in the textbook.. It only applies in this case though..

Well you can always ask for your assignments and tests to be regraded by a third party. Your answers are either right or they are wrong. Something did happen or it did not. If she is failing you because of the vocabulary you used and not the content then she should be corrected. I would definitely get the principal involved. It doesn't matter how they do it in India if she is teaching in America.

"But grades are subjective.."

Not all grades are subjective. In a class like American Government I can't imagine the grade would be subjective except on essays.

Get everyone in your class to sign a petition, claiming all the things that you have listed above. But try to do this in a tasteful, classy manner.

hand it in to the principal PERSONALLY, if the principal dosen't do anything about it than clearly something is wrong, and in that case, you can always complain to your board of education.

report her... she is probably an illegal alien

OMG THAT IS SO FUNNY!!!!!
