I applied EA on Nov.1st. But do I have to send in my financial aid application after I get a decision?

41 VIEWS and not a SINGLE ANSWER.

I’m not positive what you’re asking exactly, but I’ll try my best.

No, you never “have to” send in financial aid stuff, you only send it if you need aid. You can send it before you get accepted if you want, or after. You can send in the CSS PROFILE now, and the FAFSA after January.

You usually get your financial info in April I heard, so sending it in super early won’t really help. Just don’t send it in really late.

thank you yosup

Mori, also, if you’re asking if you have to WAIT until you’re accepted to submit financial aid, the answer is NO. Submit the CSS as soon as you are able; submit FAFSA as soon as your folks have their tax for 2009 finished (try for Feb. 15) even if you haven’t heard about admission.

Also, even if you don’t need financial aid, you may wish to submit the FAFSA, as it would enable your family to apply for the Plus loan should they wish to reserve cash for liquidity in these economic times. In order to get the Plus loans, offered directly through the U., you do need to have submitted FAFSA.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
