Can anyone give me any advice on where I should stay this fall, I am going to ILR by the way.

-transfer student
-I need a single dorm
-hope to be close to classes
-I really want a single room
-hopefully a place where I can make friends quickly
-maybe I'll bring a car, but unlikely

wow thats alot to ask for...I highly doubt you'll get all of them if any...

-If you want a single, then you just have to cross ur fingers and apply for hasbrouck and hope you get a single. If you choose to live on west or collegetown, its almost guaranteed you'll have a double or a triple (acutally soo many people wanted to live on campus this year, they ran out of doubles for returning upperclassman.
- If you have a single and live in hasbrouck, you wont be close to classes, anywhere. Maybe human ec (about 15 minutes-ish) but if you are engineering, its going to take you at least a half an hour probably.
- Hasbrouck is not very social...west is...but parking is easier on North since most people who park cars have spots on North...

anyways...best bet is to live in Hasbrouck (I think) if a single means that much to you. So on ur application, apply for transfer center...

oh and most places are pretty close to gyms except for cascadilla and sheldon

yea that's it I lied? no, not sure where I said arts & science but it was probably a mistake since I applied to like 7 other schools in arts & science, why would I actually lie about that to people I don't even know? You must spend way too much time reading my posts but I got into ILR, I even said it on my chances thread, which I know you read.

GPA: 3.65 from a small 4yr school
Midterm GPA: 4.0....so maybe they assumed 3.7 overall
SOS: Tough classes, many subjects
ECs: I put down my top 5, some were pretty good, over 100hr com service
Work: little to no work experience
Essays: I think they were really good, w/ a really funny joke too which helped
Awards: Dean's List, Honor Roll, few more
Interview: great (I think)

Everyone told me I had NO chance of getting in with my stats but I worked really hard on my application so I hope this inspires a lot of people to go for it, even if a school may seem like a reach.

when you spend as much time as he does on here I guess it does matter, what does typing the whole thing out have to do with anything?? Everything was correct except the first line. You must have a lotta time to go find that post too.

it doesnt take much time to go through the last 5 posts you made, idiot.

and the reason why it is important that he stated arts and science is because 1) he falsified where he wanted to go + where he got accepted 2) misled others into thinking he got into the hardest school (8% acceptance rate) with a low gpa 3) because it further proves this kid is an idiot.

The fact that this kid is researching me proves that he's a total jerk off with no life, not to mention how frequently he posts here. On my chances thread I clearly specified ILR, and you called me a "prestige whore" for it. You know you got tight cuz I made Cornell playboy, I got into an Ivy and you probably never will haha.

haha you wanna compare a little liberal arts school to an Ivy, I don't care what their stats are, I've done absolutley nothing my whole life in school except parties and girls and still got into Cornell, so blow me.

TransferStudentt, chill out. It's significantly easier to get into Cornell as a transfer student than as a regular admissions student. You're really not in any position to be condescending.

Just so this has some relevance to your original post-- you're probably not gonna get a single room (except if it's in Hasbrouck, and you don't want to live there anyway as it's very far from central campus relative to other places you could live if you get a double on West). Call up the housing center and ask them about it.

hahaha..I love how this post has nothing to do with housing anymore...

who cares. You're smart, you're stupid...watever.
All that matters is who makes the best money doing the jobs they love in the future...and have a good time in college.

I agree though, final Messes with your head. I actually almost laughed out loud reading this post
