Very Confused/Frustrated Student Needs Advice

I am a student thats very confused about what I want to do with my life. I am currently a sophomore at a top 50 university. I began college as a pre-med student and after a couple B-'s in both general chemistry and calc, I am wondering if I still should pursue that goal. Another thing that interests me is engineering and I am considering transferring to my college's engineering school, but currently my GPA isnt high enough for biomed engineering. I was thinking about doing biomed engineering with the hopes of working very hard and bringing my grades up so I can get into medical school in the future. Another option I have is applying to another engineering department in hopes of transferring to biomed engineering if my grades improve and both engineering departments approve. College offers so many options that I am very frustrated trying to decide what I should do. Any advice? Thanks

If you want to pursue the biomed. eng. route, then what I've been reading lately on these boards suggests that you take up a traditional engineering discipline (mechanical, for instance), & focus on bio. in graduate school. Mechanical shouldn't be that difficult to transfer into. BTW, B-minuses aren't that bad.
