very confused!?

well I graduated 2 years ago...

decided to move in with boyfriend at a terribly young age.
now i want and need to think for myself and worry about the future.

I am 19 years old.

Found what seems like an awesome uni in caliornia

with financial aid and loans, will i be able to live in dorms and attend as a fresman?

am i too late?
will i be too old?

No, you won’t be to old. I’m …much older than you are … and in school full time completing my undergrad degree in CA. If I wanted to live in the dorms, I could do it. It would be hella weird, but I could. :-)

You’re definitely not too late or too old - most freshman are at least 18! But, whether you can swing it financially may be another story. There’s not enough info given to help you figure that out but you first need to know whether the school uses FAFSA or Profile and what your EFC is, whether you’re eligible for state grants (CA resident), and what your intended school’s financial aid offerings and track record is. Are your parents going to help you with your college costs?

Definitely not too old.

You will have to provide your parents financial information on FAFSA as you are still considered a dependent for financial aid purposes (assuming from your post that you are not married).

Are you a California resident? If not then you may be better off looking at schools in the State you are resident in as out of state tuition is high.

Unless your parents have low income, and you have great grades and scores, it could be difficult.

Very few schools “meet need”, which means that with moderate loans and aid, you could get the cost covered.

If you give us your high school grades and any SAT/ACT scores you may have, we could give you a much better idea.

The bottom line is you’re not too old to attend some college even if it’s has to be one in your state for financial reasons.
