Very high SAT's but HORRIBLE GPA.

SAT: 2200/ 2300 on test, 2390 on practice test!
GPA: 3.5/3.6 :(

will the SAT's offset the horrible gpa? i'm a sophomore and i'm planning to take sat II's and Ap's later in the year but what about the meat and bones of the application, the SAT and GPA?

Unfortunately (for you), most schools consider gpa a better indicator of how you’ll perform in college than your test scores. but maybe they’ll see that though your gpa isn’t stellar (that’s not a horrible gpa though! mine is close to it…) you are obviously very smart. Congrats on those great test scores!! and good luck, in 2 months we’ll all know, so I know it’s hard, but you should just relax and wait! (I really should practice what I preach…I just want to find out so bad!)

oh and I just noticed you’re a sophomore! don’t worry you can easily get your gpa up by the time you apply to colleges! my gpa has improved since the beginning of high school. just work hard and get the gpa up but you are doing great taking the sat’s so early! and doing so well on them! good luck!
