Very Important ACT question

I took the ACT plus writing in June and Got a 28. I retook it this past october but i did not take the writing because i already took it. Does this new score(which is probably higher) even count or do i need to take it again in December? Its fine if i take it in december but i wanna make sure.

thanks a lot

If the colleges you are applying to require you to take writing, they will not consider the new score without writing. Seems kind of lame, but thats just how it is.

Exactly. Which is why I always take the optional writing portion. It's only a few extra bucks, about 30 more minutes of your time, and it doesn't factor into your ACT composite.

^^^ haha 15 dollars isn't just a "few extra bucks"...

In comparison to the amount you'll be paying for graduation, application fees, tuition, room and board, and all other costs associated with college, then yes.. it is a few bucks.

Besides, for those who truly are financially in need, there are fee waivers.

I'd rather pay the extra 15 bucks and have my score count than pay 30 bucks or whatever and have the test be a waste of time because it won't be accepted.

Precisely.
