I was accepted to USC and just recently sent in my enrollment.

I'm now worried about it getting rescinded.

Info:
I'm taking 6 AP's right now and last semester I made 3 A's and 3 B's.

The problem is my second semester grades.
Right now, worst case scenerio, I will get: C,D,C,B,B,B (The first three would be in Calc, Stat, and Envo)
Some unfortunate events occured (We had a teacher leave in the middle of a grading period which caused everyone to get bad grades. Another class -the teacher caught me cheating and gave me an F for a nine weeks, which lowered my semester grade.)

So, am I in really big trouble?
How bad do grades have to be to get an admission rescinded?
(Oh, and it's possible that 2 of those B's turn into A's. How much would this help?)

I'm REALLY worried/scared so please help.

Have any of you heard of people gettign thei admissiosn rescinded because of 2nd semester grades? If so, what were their grades?

That's pretty cute. Maybe you should get your admission rescinded.

Response:
"Yea, I was just putting it before everyone asked why I had gotten the bad grades. I am NOT going to explain any of them. Oh- and to sky- I know cheating is bad. It was a one time thing and I got caught. I feel bad. I'm was (obviously) punished already. So please, no need be rude."

I apologise for what I am about to say, so please don't judge me. Why is this like tenth thread I've read almost in row, "help my grades dropped will my acceptence be rescinded." What did everyone suddenly figure they were out of the blue because they were accepted. Seriously slacking off versus failing is huge. Step up and take responsibility for your actions. I apologize if I am so frank so hate me. I admit I got a little lazy and procrastinate, but in no way put my grades in jeopardy.

I'm not so sure. Our school gives out a grade every quarter that every two get averaged into semester grades which further gets averaged with exams to get semester final averages. The semester final averages are the only ones that will ever be shown on a college transcript. So if you get 3 unexcused absences one quarter, which at our school gets you an F, you'll prolly only get a C for the final average, so the colleges never know about your truancy and your associated failing grade. It just looks like you got a little senioritis and slacked off a little. So, if they only see the semester averages you might be fine. My uncle slacked off his last semester and got a whole bunch of C's, and his full ride to his college was never rescinded. There's hope!

Some highschools add cheating info. thingies to your file. Some more sadistic ones might inform the college(s) that you've been accepted to... that you're a cheat!

Now, I would hope you think about what you did and perhaps you'll do better in your future endeavors.

Uhh... don't get the D. You won't get your admission revoked for the C's any D's or F's you can. The cheating thing, you might want to make sure that your school doesn't put that on your transcript or contacts USC in any way about that. That could spell trouble for you.

Yeah, make sure the incident stays unknown to the world outside your HS. An F is one thing, an F caused by cheating is quite another. I think with a little appealing you can persuade the responsible person at your school not to explain what this F is really about. G'luck!
And yeah, I'm not for cheating but the OP got his punishment already, so if you can't offer him help, don't go and post something just to rub it in.
