I'm searching for the school that fits me best and is still academically strong.
I have a 3.65 UW GPA
top 25% of class
Crit Reading 660
Math 550
Writing 590
I had a challenging course load in high school, AP, honors, 5 levels of a foreign language.
I want to go to the absolute best school i can get into. I need a Liberal Arts college with a good prelaw program. In Pennsylvania or as close to as possible (surrounding states like Maryland are fine).
I'd also prefer a medium school versus very small like 3,000+ undergrads would work. School spirit's good. Decent greek life would be a plus.
I already applied at Villanova, Loyola College in MD, St Joe's, La Salle.
I want to find a school that fits me better...
I feel like the catholic schools might be too strict for me.. I do want to have a little fun in college. Honestly I want to find a great education in a fun environment. So am I wrong about catholic universities being strict? (Esp. would like to hear from Nova student) and suggestions of schools please...

I would look at Marist (no longer Catholic). It is a beautiful campus located about an hour plus fron NYC close to the Hudson River. Also, its a pretty big basketball school, so there will be school spirit. I know of kids that went there and loved it. Good mix of academics and parties(from what I was told). Although they are a litte smaller than what you wanted I would also take a look at Drew in NJ and Dickinson. I know of some students who attend Villanova and also love it. One is not Catholic and is really enjoying it. Again more of strong academics, parties etc. Good luck!

American University in Washington DC. Also look at Goucher College in Maryland.

There is nothing wrong with Catholic Colleges. They offer very good educational value and don't force religion down your throat, except for one or two theology courses required for freshmen and they normally have a lot of choices there.

Other than that, your list looks fine to me.

Syracuse University--really good school, lots of spirit and fun and depending on where you live in Pennsylvania, might not be that far away.

Most LACs are closer to 2,000 students, not your desired greater than 3,000 students. I like LACs Allegheny, Denison and Ursinus, chronicled in the Colleges That Change Lives schools, http://www.ctcl.com/. (Goucher is also reviewed there). Dickinson, F & M, Gettysburg and Muhlenberg are well known but not necessarily better. Mount St. Mary's U. is the nation's second oldest Catholic college and St. Vincent College a Benedictine school are smaller safety schools that would get you away from Philadelphia.

Normally religiously affiliated universities won't force their religious values on you, like said above...unless you're attending a bible college, naturally. : )

I think Ursinus would fit your profile and what you're looking for, but also check out Haverford and Bryn Mawr.

Marist and Manhattan Colleges are also very good choices.....
