Very Interested in Kelley ... Possible Safety?

I have been reading about IU and Kelley a lot lately and I was wondering how my chances are for being admitted. I understand that these threads are very accurate but if you could weigh me against what your average IU applicant is I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance. Also, I plan on double majoring in Finance and Mathematics.

Basic Info:
White Male from small town outside of Pittsburgh
Public School. Current Junior. (Don't know if it helps but my school rarely has people apply to top schools, everyone usually goes to University of Pitt).

Rankings:
QPA: Weighted-4.1, UW~3.7-3.8
I'm currently 3/190 but will probably graduate 2nd.

Classes:
Senior year I will be in:
AP Calc II ... My school actually had to create this class for me.
AP English
Physics II
French III
AP Chem
Psych/Econ
Hardest schedule offered

SATs:
My big downfall.
Math-690, CR-610, Writing-610
I plan on studying like crazy for these and the Math IIC and Literature tests. What score I expect on getting are: Math~750, CR~650, Writing~650.

Others:
I'm taking Calc I for college credits from University of Pitt and will do the same next year with Calc II.

I'm involved in French Club, TFIM (student career exploration program), Guitar Club (Vice-Pres), school academic competition team, golf team, Boy Scouts, History Club, Junior Engineering Technical Society and I created a stock-market competition to be held at our school for about 15 high schools in the area. Senior year I will be in the NHS. I have also accumulated around 85 service hours (will have more by graduation).

I'm very confident in my essays and teacher recs.

My top choices are Villanova, UVA, & Boston College but I realized that UVA will be a major, major reach, so I started looking at IU which quickly became one of my top choices.

Unless admission gets a lot more competitive next year, you will be admitted to IU. You will probably be a direct-admit as well. Here are the current requirtements for the direct admit program at Kelley:

"Already admitted to IU Bloomington and indicated business as your intended major
ACT composite score of 29 or SAT composite of 1270 (including only math and critical reading sections)
Top 10 percent of high school class or 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale"

SAT II's are not required for admission. You should also qualify for the scholarship given to out of state students called the Faculty Award. This year the top award was $7000.

Have you considered taking the ACT to see how you do? The higher your score, whether ACT or SAT, the higher the Faculty Award (of course, in addition to your GPA, course schedule, and extracurriculars - which appear excellent BTW!)

Kelley's reputation is becoming more well known, so applications are up, making the direct admit program more competitive.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reassurance. I have not taken the ACT but I have taken the ACT practice tests and I prefer the SAT. Getting scholarships would be a great incentive for going there, which honestly the only thing that I seem to have a problem with as of now is the location and the party scene is a bit more than I would like.

Those guidelines for admit, are they REQUIRED or is it "if you get these sttas you have a freaking good shot" type of deal? And if required, must you fulfill all of those criteria? Thanks!

How is the recruiting at IU ? Are they limited to mid-west companies / firms or do they attract nationwide recruiters ?

If you have the stats of a direct admit, you will be admitted to the business school, meaning you don't have to take 1-2 years and then apply to it. Of course, you will be admitted to IU, as those are statistics well above the mean and on average they accept something along the lines of 80%. Direct Admits usually get 6-7K/year in scholarships if you are an OOS student. All those numbers on the website indicate is whether or not you qualify for direct admission to Kelley, not to IU. Indiana's admissions are completely separate than Kelley's. You don't apply to a specific school, you apply to the university.
