VERY LOW COST OOS COA universities......less than $25k COA for everything!

I know that this isn't really a FA thread, but it would seem to fit here for those needing low cost options.

There are many who would benefit from this thread:
1) students whose stats wont get much/any merit
2) students who won't get much/any FA
3) transfer students who need low cost options.
4) int'l students

please copy/paste actual COAs and/or links to low cost (less than $25k COAs)

Let's keep this thread clean with no/minimal comments.

BE CAREFUL to notice whether the quoted rates are for semester, quarter, or yearly!!!

There are two UMaine public univs that have announced huge reductions in their OOS rates.
http://www.umfk.edu/valleyvision/release/default.cfm?release=14006

*The University of Maine at Fort Kent and the University of Maine at Presque Isle *
today unveiled a new tuition structure for out-of-state and international students that offers competitive pricing in those markets and also acts as a catalyst for economic development in Aroostook County.

For those students, that means their tuition would see a 40% reduction from $16,560 a year to $9,900 a year. Local economic development leaders are welcoming the rate change and what it means for the area.

OOS Tuition $9900 per year (and there are some lenient merit offers that could further reduce)
COA $20,592

(full-time) 24-36 credits $9,900
Fees 2 $975
Health Insurance 3 $997
Books & Supplies 4 $1,000
Subtotal: $12,872
Residence Hall Room 5 $4,150
Board (19-Meal Plan) 6 $3,570
COA......$20,592

i would think that with some careful book purchasing/renting and family-provided health insurance, that the COA could even be less.

Bemidji State Univ - Minn

OOS Tuition and fees $8,124
Room and board $7,256
Books and supplies $862
Estimated personal expenses $1,450
Transportation expenses $1,150
Estimated Total $18,842

New Mexico Highlands Univ

OOS Tuition and fees $6,383
Room and board $5,720
Books and supplies $928
Estimated personal expenses $2,044
Transportation expenses $2,540 <= seems like a high estimate
Estimated Total $17,615

Excellent idea for a thread.

Minot State University (in North Dakota)

Annual tuition & fees $6,086
Residence Halls $1,800
Unlimited Meal Plan $3,400
Books and Supplies $1,100
Total Annual Costs $12,386

This would be an interesting thread. My in state flagship CoA is higher than that.

Kentucky State University

Laurels Scholarship

Laurels Scholarships are awarded to first-time entering freshmen who demonstrate high academic achievement. Though some scholarships carry donor-specific restrictions, many of these scholarships are unrestricted and are available to students who meet the academic or academic/need criteria. Most scholarships are renewable as long as the recipient maintains the specified minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0, full-time, maintains satisfactory academic progress, and does not have a break in enrollment.

For further information, please contact the Admissions Office at 828.251.6481 or 1.800.531.9842.

Departmental Scholarship

Through the generosity of past and present donors, UNC Asheville offers a variety of scholarships to entering freshman who demonstrate high academic achievements. These grants and scholarships include funds awarded by the Office of Financial Aid in accordance with individual aid program criteria. Students who want to be considered for these funds should submit their FAFSA to the federal processor by the priority date of March 1. Students who file a FAFSA will automatically be considered for most UNC Asheville grants and scholarships that are based on need and/or merit. These aid programs are non-renewable and are subject to applicant pool and fund availability. Students are awarded based upon a full-time status and our merit based scholarships require a minimum 3.0 GPA.
