I don’t know why he said don’t write about your mental instability. You overcame it. That’s something to be proud of and they’ll appreciate the honesty. The scores are a little low but you’re explaining them so that helps.

I 100% agree with 1939er, in all the college books and websites it is STRONGLY recommended you don’t write about mental illness. It’s completely your choice at the end of the day and if you want to take the risk then you should take it, but it’s very common knowledge that mental illness should not be discussed in a college essay

A lot of them look like matches / ballparks . I think RIT and VT are two high matches / low reaches but other than that looks good.

For some of the safer schools, I think u have a pretty good chance at. Purdue and American are reaches. Also just a tip, emphasize ur emotional evolution in ur essays. One of my english teachers read mine (i overcame a disease too) and said that it was kind of robotic. Hope I helped!

First of all, don’t be afraid to write your essays about mental illness… @1939er‌ is plain wrong. If you show percerverence through internal strife, that’s great! So to chances…

Case western ea- reach but you have a good shot
Rochester U- high match/ low reach
Rochester inst. tech- low match
Binghamton ea- match (maybe I’ll see you there!)
Stony brook- low match
Purdue ea-match
Syracuse- high safety/ low match unless newhouse
Miami oh- match
Dayton- low match
American- match
Virginia tech- low match
Pitt ea- low match
Allegheny- match
Shippensburg- low match
James Madison ea- safety
Ohio northern- safety
Indiana- high match

Best of luck! :)

I’m going to comment on colleges I’m very familiar with, simply because I don’t want to give you poor info! To start, Purdue EA is a match/low match. Syracuse is a high match, Miami is a low match and Dayton is a safety. I’d say American is a reach, as well as Virginia tech. Pitt is a low match and James Madison is a high match. Indiana is a low match. Sorry for only commenting on these schools, but I don’t know enough about the others. I think you have good stats, and you’ll at least get into 4 of these schools! Best of luck!
