VERY serious question

on the application, where it says how many languages can you speak, how seriously do they check that part? Do they actually test you to see if you know and do they factor them into your admissions decisions? What if you say can speak a language but you can't really speak it fluently, do they check that and does it even matter?

I don't think it's very serious just don't flat out lie

GUKid,

If you are applying and plan on going into the SFS they do require fluency in another language for graduation. I put on my tranfer app that I speak another language but I'm really rusty and I'll have to study because before I can graduate they WILL test to make sure that I know it. Like 2010 said - just don't lie. If you really have only a basic understanding of the language and you're not sure to put it or not, just make a note of your abilitiy. It shouldn't be a problem.

Good luck!
