Very silly question, please answer though

So assuming I have high SAT I score (I did), really high GPA and really good EC's, good essay, perfect scores for the other two subject tests, just assuming everything else makes me a right candidate for HYP and other top schools. Would a 740 in physics subject test kill my chances? (I just know that 3 subject tests are required for these schools)

A more concise question would be: is one sat ii score that important?

No. I expect you already knew that but just needed reassurance. You have above a 700, and if your other stats are as good as you’ve mentioned, then you’ll be fine. Remember that HYP and other elite schools reject perfect-score 2400s/800s/valedictorians too. Just focus on your passions (extracurriculars I mean) instead.

Sorry if I sounded a bit pretentious there. I should really take my own advice.

No, that will certainly not kill your chances at those schools.
