The top schools I got into are Vassar, UPENN and Berkeley. I really like UPENN and Berkely and am split between them. I would just like to hear your thoughts on them, even though this is in the UPENN forum.

thanks.

I don’t want to tell you the major as they are pretty even in that regard.

Berkely is an outstanding school! You'll get a great education from either, and berkely is most likely much cheaper, but penn might have more prestige, but you shouldn't chose a school based on that. do some research about the schools and find out.

Berkeley and Penn were my top two choices. I got accepted to both and I chose Penn(Wharton). Even if it does cost 25k more a year, in my opinion Penn is overall a better school w/ better students, a better location, and a better campus. Though it really does depend on what you prefer, your major, and if you were offered any aid...

I would have to disagree....what about graduate school? An UG education means litle in the eyes of most employers. And just as in undergraduate admissions, graduate schools strive for diversity, meaning they accept students from schools all across the nation. I'm going to USC with a full-tuition scholarship over Penn (personally I think they're both great schools..) but it's important to realize when applying to grad school, it's back to the cutting board. If you do very well at an Ivy league school for UG, then you have a good chance of getting into a good grad school, but even then, competition is fierce. You can only get C's in an ivy league school and go to an awesome grad school if you have political connections..(i.e. Bush).

Rumbean22, that is a very interesting point of view. i thought that the UC schools were considered highly everywhere. People who graduate from Berkeley have gone to some of the best grad schools available, right?
