Very worried about College Application status?

I'm freaking out that some of my colleges haven't received materials while others have. For example - what's really interesting is that WashU has received my official transcript and secondary school report, while my state school hasn't even gotten my transcript yet! (I live in MD)

How long does it take for things supposedly mailed out in mid-late November to get to their destinations? What's an appropriate time frame - how long do I wait before it's time for me to call some people?

I hope I'm not the only one who's experiencing such anxiety. Also, I think my teachers will mail their recs by the postmarked date, since due to special circumstances they wrote them in early to mid-December (when in December I don't know). I know patience is a virtue, but this is driving me a little crazy =/

Ahhh, any help/advice/suggestions are much appreciated!!!

They're likely there, but simply not in your file yet or not imput into the computer. However, if you sent these things in November, I would wait until the end of your holiday break and then call the admissions office to ask if you should be concerned and what steps you could take to remedy the situation.

Also, as long as teachers mail their letters within a reasonable time frame, it should be fine. They can't hold it against you personally if something you had no control over was turned in late, you know?

As long as you have YOUR part of the application in by the deadline, you're ok. If you looked online at status of your apps at that college, maybe it just hasn't been processed yet. In any case, if something is missing, the college will let you know.

I know how you feel I've been freaking out about my UNC application b/c online it keeps saying "incomplete" even though everything has been mailed, so today i emailed my transcript like twice and then faxed it (excessive I know but I really want it to get there since they're saying they might withdraw my application!!!) but I can't do anything about my counselor rec so I hope it gets there by Jan 7!! (fingers crossedX)
