Hi all! I’ve recently become interested in veterinary medicine and have been looking at wildlife veterinary medicine specifically. I was wondering however if U Chicago has a vet program and if it does how good it would be? Thanks!
Texas A & M would be more the ticket. The culture would be rather different as to the agricultural, the engineering, the military, the (formerly) all-male gung-ho rah-rah spirit of that school and its setting in a state that has never sent many kids to a university and a city so far removed from traditional Texas values, which A & M more or less exemplifies. I wonder whether any kid anywhere has ever simultaneously applied for admission to both UChicago and A & M.
Ah ok, thanks for the help! The UC’s look like great options as well, except for the out of state costs. I’ll keep looking though, thanks!
You first need a bachelor’s degree before you can enter veterinary school. Admission is more selective than medical school.
Right, so I would most likely get a background in zoology or even general biology as an undergraduate and when I move into graduate school I would look into veterinary school.
