Has anyone applied for the Health Professionals Loans? They are based upon parents income and have to be done via FASFA? I believe they are harder to qualify for? Where did you apply to get Direct Student Grad Plus Loans? If you had 529 money to use, would you use that first before taking out a loan, since you have to start paying interest right away with loan?
I don’t know since we didn’t use any BUT I do know that the vet schools have financial advisors available to talk to you at any time (before or after you are accepted). They know a lot about the loans and everything out there about them. So call your vet school of choice and ask for the person in charge of vet school financing. They will be glad to talk you through the process.
