Topic: During junior year I was passionate about fixing a community service club at my school that was falling apart due to poor leadership. The past president kept everything under the rug about problems, wouldn't confront/let anyone confront officers who weren't doing their job, etc. I got the support of all the officers and people who knew what was going on, but I ended up losing the election to the old president. I was a really hurt that the club would return to its previous state after all the effort I tried putting in. A few weeks later I ended up getting a vice president position at a similar community service club and have learned from the mistakes of the other club.

I'm afraid that this topic might come off as a bit whiny ... However I've learned some valuable lessons like we have to be open to rejection and stick to what we're passionate about.

What do you guys think about the topic?
