My club has decided its president this year, and now it's time to choose the rest of the team.
I love being treasurer, instead of vice presidents, and actually the treasurer position is slightly higher in my club because there are three vice-presidents.
I can't deny but it's about the college application. Doesn't it sound better to be vice-presidents? Although the organizational chart isn't like that?
My dedication will be the same, but which one should I choose?

I think VP sounds better

Treasurer is a position of responsibility like any other. Go with what you enjoy. It’s not like it can make or break you. Neither of them is president.

@bernier93:
Really? Because someone on CC told that your leadership potential will be judged pretty much the same if you’re the Pres or VP.
Don’t really know though…

They’re probably the same.

I’m not an admissions officer and have never even been to the US, but TO ME, ‘Treasurer of …’, ‘Vice President of …’ and ‘President of …’ are pretty much the same thing. It’s really just another line in your application that I’d skip past in less than 0.1s (literally). Either way, it says you’ve done something.

Granted, if I stopped to read it, I would be more impressed by President, but it probably wouldn’t play any role (not even on a subconscious level) in your admission.

I really don’t think it matters to admissions. As long as they see you took a leadership position in the activity and were therefore involved.

Go with what you want to do.

I ran for president/VP in all 5 clubs I’m actively involved in, but lost to a more “popular” kid, even though I was better qualified. go figure =/

^^I agree. Do what you feel compelled to do:)
