Victory!

I turned in my Stanford application and supplement on January 1st, and according to the status check, they've finally processed all my stuff! To be honest, that's pretty impressive. I mean, with 25,000 applications to sort through (having to match paper material to online CommonApp stuff...) and mine being at the bottom of the stack, I think the Cardinal team has done a stellar job :)

Now, just.................2+ months left of waiting haha

Whoot! Go hookem! lol. I'm rooting for you.

lol, thanks :)
With 30,000 apps, though, I'm not exactly hopeful haha

Do they go through the apps by last name? Or by when everything is processed? They processed all of my stuff, but I'd rather they put off looking at my application. I'm worried about them looking at it so early into the application review process. I'd rather they did it alphabetically and waited till the "S"s for me.

haha, I have NO idea how they sort/view the applications......however, I do know that 2 months is a very long time and I am going slightly crazy.......oh, I hope I get that likely letter, haha.

And, yeah, my credentials were processed about a week ago, not to brag.....haha, jk! Good luck all!

I'm betting it's somewhat organized by date of submission, like when your CommonApp was timestamped.

Do they actually read all the applications. I heard that most colleges employ some sort of point system. The select few applications that fall within a certain range are then read. I don't know if this holds true for Stanford though.

Stanford, like most top schools, DOESN'T do this.

2+ months. /sigh.

Oh my, I would be so irritated if my application were not read, especially after paying a $75 application fee!

:D!

And, if anyone cares to know, I talked to my Stanford admissions counselor and she said that if finances are a problem for admit weekend, Stanford will pay your ride to and from campus! Sick, right? Now if only it were April 1st and I knew if I would be attending.
