Video games in freshman dorms?

Do any of the students like to play video games during their free time in the freshman dorms? Is this a rarity or common occurrence? Thanks so much.

i play some when my neighbors are visiting, there are quite some people that play multiplayer games like we would play 3 or 4 people basketball game or fifa, another big multiplayer is smash bros... but its pretty rare to see a student sitting there playing by himself tho... i encourage new incomers to get move involved with social activities on their floor and you'll prolly find a couple people that would play with you on a regular basis, like my floormates often comes in here for like lakers games and video games...

I know some people who literally stay in their rooms all day playing WOW, Halo 3, etc... Don't ruin your college experience by playing games all day. Go out. Take risks. Meet new ppl.

last year in de neve there was one room where every single time i passed by, the door was open and they were playing guitar hero...

My son, the video game nut, I don't think played a video game once his fall semester, unless he came home for the weekend. This semester (he's at Cal), he's allowed himself to play some on the weekends, but he said he just doesn't have the time or inclination, since there's so much to do, both academically and socially. Actually, I think he became more hooked on facebook as his freetime passion, lol.

yahooo is right, don't waste your time on video games. Sure, once in a while is fine, but i know quite a few people who just game ALLL DAYYY. And I think Dota is lame and boring.

Video games can actually be a way to meet tons of new people; just leave your door open and let them join in. Worked for me.

Personally I can't live without video games so I will be bringing my Wii, TV, and gaming computer to UCLA with me. :)

i go to my friend's room and play sometimes...

but i agree with the above opinions, dont play all day, play it as a break from ur studies, you know, relax the brain. other times, go out and party.

BTW, they call me Master Chief, and i'm deadly with that shotgun passing sides on the offense and zone blitz on the defense (madden in case you didnt catch that).

also, rep'in that NEW ORLEEEEENSSSS (Saints)

I play nba too, im efficient with almost all of Western Conference, except Portland, Washington, Minnesota. Eastern Conference is another story, only Cavs.

At least here in Bowles Hall (in Cal), video games help you become more social with your neighbhors.

ummm yeah just came back to my room from playing brawl.

hahaa. anyone else here an old hardcore melee player and now moving onto brawl?

I love Brawl. Who's your favorite character?

i am sooooo happy they made pikachu stronger!!! thunder kills bwahaha. and everyone's floatier so i don't die as much by falling off the stage...

lol haha wow just woke up @_@.

favorite by far is snake. haha we should play

mm ya my friends love snake also.

i'm a weirdo, tho, i only play pika. and i woke up at 4pm lol ;)

We should have a CC game night!!!!!

I'm bored.

i'm up for brawl anytime.. i just don't have it.

so hit me up if you wanna play sometime through a CC message or facebook
