"View of the U" for High School Seniors? Anyone no anything about it?

I got invited* to this event that talks about tips for applying to UofM and you get to hear from current students and alumni. Did anyone else get invited to this or did any current UofM students go to this when they were in high school? Is this more of an exclusive event or to they basically invite everyone? I kind of want to know if it's a good sign for my admission chances.

*I'm assuming I got invited because they saw my ACT score I sent to them.

I got the invitation (and attended), but I don’t really think the invitation itself means much. They might have selected by ACT score, but I still wouldn’t draw much of a conclusion from that. I’m sure there were people in that room that didn’t get in.

Also, most of what they tell you, you can learn online. But go anyway, if you don’t have anything much better to do.

Son received an invite which I’m guessing is because he took ACT in June. He is only going to be a junior so he won’t attend this year.

FYI: daughter will be a freshman at UofM and never received an invite to this event.

I went as a HSer. It is a good sign for now as they dont just invite everyone but it is by no means a guarantee of admittance. most of the info they’ll tell you can be found online, but you should go if you want to sing ‘the victors’ like 5 times and hear some enthusiastic students talk about their experiences.
