Viewing scores early

Can I view my score early if I've forgotten my ACT ID number?

If you know your social security number then you can..

if i cant find out online in ten days with the early scores because i dont have my ID or my social security number, can i found out in 2 and a half weeks or do i have to wait 4-7 weeks?

re: social security number

No. I cannot access the score report if I know my social security number because ACT does not know it. If you don't provide them with the social security number, then they assign you an ACT ID. It is the ACT ID which I've forgotten.

is there any way to view your score early online without waiting the 4-7 weeks? if you have your ACT ID, is it available sometime before then?

ACT scores from national test dates can be viewed online. During the early viewing period, normally for about two weeks after scores are first available to view, an $8 fee will apply. This service allows you to view your scores before your official score report arrives by mail.

Score reports for those testing outside the U.S. are not available online.

Schedule
You can try to see your scores beginning in the morning on the dates listed below.

If you tested on: Begin checking for multiple-choice scores on:
October 28, 2006 November 14–16, 2006
December 9, 2006 December 19–21, 2006
February 10, 2007 February 20–22, 2007

Smilingsuzy - have you taken the ACT before? I think the ACT ID stays the same so if you have an old one you can find it there. If not have you tried phoning the ACT people to see if they can give you your ID over the phone?

so from April 24 on for 2 weeks you need to pay $8 to view your score.
After that two-week period, you can view your score online for free?

why dont ACT just use Collegeboard's way, getting people an account? it'd be so much easier than remembering some random ACT ID

The ACT really nickles 'n dimes everyone. It's $8 to view your scores, you have to pay to get your answer sheet back, and of course the price of the test along with the writing. I personally can't stand waiting for the mail to arrive, so I pay the fee.

when and where can you pay the 8 $

Go to www.actstudent.org. You will be able to click a link once there that says view test scores. You won't be able to view the April Tests until April 24. You'll have to provide either your Social Security Number and birthdate, or your ACT ID#.
