villanova/bu/drexel

Hey for anyone applying to these programs this year, do you mind posting your stats? I'm not ashamed to say I kind of want to know what i'm up against. Ill post my stats too no worries.

thanks party people

1530 m v but i kind of wanna retake tomorrow on standby

award winning newspaper, orchestra which plays in austria this year, karate black belt, potter (as in pottery..), good internship, interesting person

my strong points would be essays (if i ever get to them) and interview

oh yeah 8-10 aps (fives so far probably all fives) depending on how i m feeling, may self-study econs and psych/stat/something easy ;p

my class rank is **** though, not because of the school but because i m kind of lazy, teacher recs will probably include that too =/

what about you? competition is tough for combined med so i've chosen good traditional schools to apply to that i wouldn't mind going

does any one know about villanova and teacher recommendations? how many do they need? just the one from the common app? and it can be from anybody? i dont get it.

cmon someones gotta know something

Have you checked Villanova's website, specifically the page dealing with their program? If it doesn't say there, your best bet would be to contact the admissions office and ask them; they'll give you the most accurate answer.

Hi everybody. I'm a current BS/MD student at nova (1st yr). youre prolly wondering what the hell I'm doing coming to this website. Truth is, I remembered this site recently because I'm transferring and I'd just like to give you kiddos some advice. why u ask? cuz villanova is a skidmark on the underwear of human progress. it is the most undiverse, boring, intellectually lacking school on earth. seriously i hate it here. there is no such thing as fun on villanova besides going to an offcampus apartment and getting ****faced. nova is too far from the city to go there if thats what youre planning on doing. i ask that you please dont choose to come here based on the fact that you got into the program, this was my biggest mistake. add to the fact that i turned down duke, northwestern (isp prog), and and emory on scholarships and i feel horrible. if you can deal with kids in your class that ask the dumbest questions and have trouble multiplying and spelling (yeah believe it or not thats a problem for kids in my class), otherwise dont come. my advisor doesnt even know my name and ive seen him 5 times, and he only has like 25 kids. please dont fall into the trap of tourguides and stuff liek that. of course they like it here, otherwise they wouldnt be doing it. if youre a minority, good luck, cuz theres only like 20 more, half of them being program kids. so yeah thats why i hate it here in a nutshell. good luck and careful choosing.

oh yeah one other thing: remember that youre applying to the bs/md prog because you probably want to enjoy your life before hell aka med school. if youre not enjoying your undergrad, really theres no point in the prog because if you get inot a prog chances are youre way ahead of the game if you choose to apply to med school the traditional way
